March Break Camp

Our week long March Break Camp allows your little animal lover to cultivate their love for our furry friends in a safe, inclusive, and educational environment.

Join us for our award winning March Break Camp (Stratford)

Our award winning March Break Camp is back! This program is great way for your animal lover to spend an entire week immersing themselves with the Humane Society. For children ages 6-11, our week long camp consists of an engaging tour of our facility, animal interactions (when possible), up to two educational presentations per day, games, crafts and more! Our week ends with a pajama pizza party on Friday! Camp runs from 9:00am to 4:00pm, with sign-in occurring after 8:40am and pick-up occurring before 4:30pm.

The week-long March Break Camp is available at our Stratford location only - single day drop-ins also available.

Mini Vets! (Kitchener)

This half-day program provides the aspiring veterinarian with a glimpse into the world of animal medicine.

What to Bring to Camp

Here is a list of everything we ask your camper to bring to ensure a successful week at camp! Each day, please ensure they have:

  • Indoor shoes
  • Outdoor clothing (we will aim to be outside at least twice every day. Please have your camper bring snow pants, boots, gloves, etc.).
  • Water bottle
  • Peanut free lunch and snacks for nutrition break

We ask that campers please not bring any electronics to camp. If your camper has a cell phone, they are permitted to keep it in their backpack throughout the day.

Refund Policy Day Camp

Refund Policy:
Refunds will be issued upon written request by email and will be provided in accordance with the terms and conditions outlined below. The Humane Society of Kitchener Waterloo and Stratford Perth reserves the right to grant exceptions to this policy in extreme circumstances.

No Refunds for Partial Attendance or Illness:
We do not provide refunds when a participant leaves a program after it has started, for any reason. This includes situations involving illness, personal choice, or when a participant needs to be removed from the program due to behaviour or safety concerns. Staffing, preparation, and resources are planned and allocated for the full duration of the program, which means we are unable to offer partial refunds in these circumstances.

Weather Conditions:
Day Camp will take place in all weather conditions. Should a session need to be cancelled due to extreme weather parents will be notified as soon as possible.

Refund Guidelines:
15 days notice or more (before 1st session) for refund – 10% program fee deducted
14 days to 73 hours notice for refund – 50% program fee refunded
72 hours notice or less – No refund
Once program has begun – No refund

Please note: The full week March Break Camp is only available at our Stratford location for 2025.
